My Revit is crashing

My Revit is crashing

In cases where Revit crashes or freezes it would be very helpful if you can provide the following information, so that we can assist you more quickly:

Please answer these questions:
  1. When Revit crashes, do you get an error message/code? Please provide the error code or a screenshot.
  2. What version of Revit are you using? (Full or LT and which year).
  3. Does the crash occur with one specific project, or with any project?
If the issue is related to a specific project:
  1. Is the project located on your PC, on a local server or on Autodesk Forma?
  2. Were you able to open the project before?
  3. Are there other users who are still able to open the project?
  4. Do you have access to an older version of the project that you can still open?

Journal Files

Additional information that can be very helpful when diagnosing your specific issue is a copy of the latest Revit journal file. Please send us the journal file for analysis.

Journal file location:
C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Revit\Autodesk Revit <Version>\Journals

If possible, please follow these steps when generating the journal file:
  1. Close Revit completely.
  2. Open Revit again and reproduce the crash or issue.
  3. Close Revit.
  4. Send us the newly generated journal file.

The newly generated journal file should be significantly smaller and will contain information specifically related to the crash or issue you experienced, making it much easier for us to analyse.
