How do I use my Autodesk license?

An Autodesk license works by email association. Every license must be assigned to one email address.
The contract manager for your company can assign a license to your email address.
After the contract manager has invited you, you will receive an invitation email to activate your Autodesk account.
When you have activated your Autodesk account, navigate to manage.autodesk.com to see which licenses you have and to access your software.

How many people can use an Autodesk license?

An Autodesk license may be shared between users by assigning the license to whoever may require it at a specific time.
A user may install the software on multiple devices, but can only be signed in on one device at a time. Before signing in on another device, sign out of the first one.
If a second user requires access, the license must be unassigned from the first and assigned to the second person. Now the second person can sign in on a device and start working.

Can I install my Autodesk software on more than one computer?

Yes, you may install your Autodesk software on multiple devices. As long as you are only signed into one device at a time.

What happens if I sign in on more than one device?

Using the same Autodesk account on more than one device at the same time is not permitted.
If Autodesk detects this, you may receive an overuse warning.
Continued overuse may result in a compliance investigation and financial penalties.

Best practice.

If two people only use the software once or twice a week for an hour or two, it may make sense to purchase one license and assign it to whoever needs it that day.
In most situations where two or more users need to access the software on a daily basis it is best for each user to have their own license.
This allows more than one person to use the software at the same time and reduces the administration required to move the license between users.
